What We Do

WebPutty takes a life-cycle approach to applications, providing a unified environment for development, integration, and maintenance of service-oriented architecture (SOA) applications. By adding self-managing and self-healing capabilities to distributed platforms, WebPutty dramatically reduces the risks, hidden costs, and complexity of building, integrating and maintaining enterprise and government applications.

Why We Do It

IT departments are facing enormous challenges: 75% of applications are delivered late and/or over budget, with 25% of them failing completely. And once an application is successfully deployed, maintenance and upgrades are extremely costly and risky. Even with IT departments spending over 80% of their budgets on maintenance, it is almost impossible to keep up with the escalating application functionality and changes required by business units. The end result: large application backlogs, frustrated business users, and escalating costs.

At the heart of this crisis lies application complexity. Increased functionality and integration requirements have vastly increased the size and complexity of applications, and development organizations are struggling to manage and control this complexity. Application complexity has grown faster than a developer's ability to manage it.

How We Do It

WebPutty solves the problem of complexity by adding application "awareness" into the underlying infrastructure and tools, automating many of the architectural, implementation, and maintenance tasks that developers have had to do manually. The WebPutty Application Platform is an Integrated Services Environment (ISE) that adds advanced application automation and management to development tools (IDE's) and enterprise servers.

The WebPutty Application Platform

The WebPutty Application Platform consists of two components:
  • The WebPutty Development Studio automates and optimizes the development and integration of n-tier and service-oriented applications.

  • The WebPutty Server manages these applications once they've been deployed, making them easy to change, optimizing their architecture and implementation, and automating the upgrade and maintenance process.
Together, these components provide a unified development, integration, and maintenance platform that reduces application Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) by as much as 80%.

The WebPutty Value

Benefits of the WPAP include:
  • Increased developer productivity, including simplifying enterprise-class application development

  • Automated integration, including support for Service-Oriented Architecture and Development (SOA/SODA)

  • Reduced maintenance costs, including automated repair and upgrading of applications

  • Open, standards-based, and extendible, including integration with existing development tools and enterprise servers.
