Founded in 1999, at the tail end of the “dot-com-boom”, dystrick grew like the many typical startup stories you hear of in Silicon Valley. Our founders started the company out of their homes, building a customer base, and assembling a team of the best creative and development talent the Bay Area had to offer. Now, 19 years later, dystrick is recognized as one of the top go-to agencies for companies throughout California, and around the globe.
Mike is the creative force behind dystrick and oversees the design quality and timely delivery of the entire range of dystrick's portfolio, working alongside some of the industries most recognized brands. Prior to founding dystrick, Mike was lead designer at Surprise.com, a large community-based website company in Palo Alto, California. Before Surprise.com, Mike held the position of creative director with creative agency, Pixolution. Outside of work, Mike enjoys spending time with his four kids (yes, four) and wife, coaching softball and baseball, and sipping on craft beers.
Chief Creative Officer / Co-Founder
As Managing Director and COO of dystrick, Sean is responsible for managing the company's growth and daily operations, including managing dystrick's finances, human resources and legal issues. He is also responsible for managing dystrick’s high-priority accounts, new business development and strategic partnerships within the new media industry. Prior to founding dystrick, Sean was the marketing and business development director at Adaptive Broadband, a leading broadband wireless company.
Managing Director / COO / Co-Founder
Josephine finds pride in contributing her talents in animation, design, and illustration to the dystrick team. Her unique style and prior experience with interactive media are an excellent complement to her colleagues' talents. Her role is diverse - including flash animation, illustration, graphic design, and online development. She earned her BA in Cinema with an emphasis in Animation from San Francisco State University.
Animation / Design Director
Bill oversees all database and programming aspects for dystrick clients and has been instrumental in the development of many customized Web applications from content management, customer centers, product management tools to e-commerce functionalities. With Bill's wide range of experience in several programming languages and interface development, he also leads dystrick's application and consultation services. Bill has also led applications development for Lockheed Martin and has taught programming in the Silicon Valley.
Web Development Director
As a designer and writer, Paige assists with fine tuning content and developing projects alongside the dystrick creative team. Paige holds a BS in Advertising with a concentration in Business Administration from the University of Florida. Her skills led her cross country and grew over years of marketing practice in the sports and entertainment industry including roles with the Gasparilla Music Festival, Vail Resorts and San Francisco 49ers’ Michael Mina Tailgate. Just prior to dystrick, Paige was the Corporate Communications Designer for the San Jose Sharks.
Designer / Copywriter
Cheray handles many of dystrick's brand strategy and messaging accounts, and has become an important component of dystrick's success. Cheray effectively communicates conceptual ideas, content rationale and the specifics of user-centered design experience. Prior to joining dystrick design, Cheray was a senior content strategist with the global marketing agency Razorfish.
Brand & Messaging Director
Chad brings an arsenal of “value add” services to the dystrick team. His understanding and execution of search engine optimization continues to place dystrick customers near the top of search results. With the help of Google Analytics he’s able to analyze visitor engagement, behavior and interest and provide our clients with valuable insight. He’s also proficient in online advertising and promoting marketing campaigns to a larger demographic.
